Position Summary
The General Dentist will provide a full range of general dentistry services, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, and patient education. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, patient-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional care in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
Provide preventive dental services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures
Conduct root canals, extractions, and other general dental procedures within scope of practice
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and clinical support staff
Refer patients to specialists when appropriate
Support a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional care
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
Active California Dental License in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification
DEA registration (if applicable)
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in general dentistry
Experience using digital radiography and dental practice management software
Knowledge of cosmetic and advanced restorative procedures
Experience working in community health, outpatient, or multi-site clinic settings
Strong patient-centered approach to care
Desired Skills
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently
