Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
Diagnose dental conditions accurately using dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis principles; develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs.
Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for documentation of medical records, treatment notes, and billing processes while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions; foster a welcoming environment that encourages client communication.
Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, or oral surgery to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Stay current with state healthcare regulations and dental best practices through ongoing education and training.
Experience
Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a strong background in general dentistry.
Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for managing patient records and clinical workflows.
Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontic procedures, and oral surgeries including implants.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and anatomy relevant to dentistry; ability to interpret X-rays and other diagnostic tools effectively.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred; experience working with children is highly valued.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and safety at all times.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health while demonstrating professionalism across diverse populations.
