Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical documentation standards.
Operate dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, record-keeping, billing, and managing electronic health records efficiently.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to deliver seamless patient care.
Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Keep detailed medical records and documentation of procedures performed in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry techniques and technology to continually improve service quality.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for efficient practice management.
Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is a plus.
Expertise in oral surgery procedures including dental extractions and implant placements.
Skilled in endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), and other restorative techniques.
Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to perform medical imaging accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality management.
Experience with medical documentation standards for accurate record-keeping of procedures and patient histories.
