Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Dentist to join our dental practice located in Gun Barrel City, Texas, about an hour drive from Dallas. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of general dentistry procedures and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves performing a wide range of dental treatments, managing patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology.
Deliver a full spectrum of general dentistry services such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care while fostering a positive patient experience.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including pediatric dentistry when applicable.
Maintain proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and stay updated on advancements in dental implants, endodontics, and other specialized areas.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare diagnosis standards and medical documentation requirements within the dental office environment.
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting with familiarity in dental office operations.
Demonstrated expertise in general dentistry procedures including extractions, root canals, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Open Dental.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Experience providing pediatric dentistry services is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
