Job Overview

Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
Conduct complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, oral surgery, and orthodontics as needed.
Utilize advanced dental technology and medical imaging tools to diagnose and plan treatments accurately.
Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to foster trust and understanding.
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow efficiency.
Stay current with the latest developments in dentistry by participating in ongoing education and training programs.
Experience
Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a focus on general dentistry.
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
Hands-on experience performing dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (crowns/bridges), orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
