Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and trust.
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort.
Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, techniques, and technology to continually enhance your skills and provide cutting-edge care.
Skills
Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and healthcare diagnosis principles relevant to dentistry.
Expertise in various dental procedures including extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics (braces or aligners), oral surgery, endodontics, and implant placement.
Excellent client communication skills to explain complex procedures clearly and empathetically.
Ability to perform pediatric dentistry when needed with patience and gentle care for young patients.
Deep understanding of infection control practices aligned with OSHA standards to ensure safety for all patients and staff.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry and general healthcare diagnosis processes.
Experience working within a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in medical documentation standards.
