Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges and extractions.
Utilize advanced dental software (Open dental, Dexis ) for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Interpret medical imaging and dental radiographs to diagnose conditions accurately.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient comfort.
Ensure adherence to all healthcare diagnosis standards and maintain detailed medical records for each patient.
Stay current with developments in general dentistry practices and technologies to continually improve patient care quality.
Experience
Proven experience as a General Dentist in a busy dental clinic or office environment.
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Open dental, Dexis, XDR, Dandy Lab scan.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and oral surgery techniques.
Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), pediatric dentistry and other specialized procedures.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records management.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while providing clear explanations of treatment plans.
Ability to work efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for optimal patient outcomes.
