Job Summary
The Dentist Mentee will diagnose and treat patients while expanding their skills in comprehensive dentistry, treatment planning, patient communication, and advanced clinical procedures. Designed as an accelerated, hands-on residency-style experience, this role provides intensive mentorship and real-world exposure to high-volume clinical workflows, allowing doctors to rapidly develop both their clinical and practice management skills. The position emphasizes continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth, with direct guidance from experienced providers in clinical excellence, case acceptance, efficiency, and leadership. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, receptive to feedback, committed to delivering exceptional patient care, and dedicated to becoming a confident, well-rounded clinician.
Tasks and responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) :
Provide comprehensive dental care within the scope of general dentistry, including preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures.
Perform thorough examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Interpret radiographs, CBCT scans, and other diagnostic findings to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients and families on oral health, disease prevention, treatment options, and long-term maintenance.
Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and analgesics, when clinically indicated.
Monitor the growth and development of teeth, jaws, and oral structures.
Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation, including diagnoses, treatment plans, consultations, and patient communications.
Collaborate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to ensure exceptional patient care and office efficiency.
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and patient-centered care skills, including the use of motivational interviewing techniques to improve treatment acceptance and patient outcomes.
Participate in ongoing mentorship, clinical training, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical proficiency and practice management skills.
Contribute to a positive patient experience by delivering compassionate, high-quality care and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Adhere to all applicable clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, including ADA, OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board requirements.
