Job Description
Seeking a Northern California GENERAL DENTIST to work from our Mobile Dental Van as an Independent Contractor, part-time. Great Opportunity for New Graduates!
Smile Dental Services (SDS) contracts with several medical/dental plans within Northern California to provide basic dental care in areas where there are no local dentists available to their enrollees. Events are promoted where qualified enrollees may make appointments and receive comprehensive dental care (x-rays, evaluations, cleaning, fillings, simple extractions, referrals, etc.) in our fully-equipped dental van. Most events take place over a 2- or 3-day period and may include weekends. A dental assistant and care coordinator will provide support throughout the event.
Successful candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to the rural areas where the events take place. SDS will cover travel expenses including, hotel, mileage, meals, etc. You will not be responsible for driving the dental van.
To qualify, you must have an active California dental license and current malpractice insurance (1,000,000/3,000,000). You must be current with your CPR and DEA certificates and comply with all office, local, state, and American Dental Association regulations, protocols, and procedures. We welcome newly-graduated applicants and recently-retired General Dentists who meet these qualifications.
This position requires dedication to the delivery of quality oral health care, a caring and compassionate nature and commitment to becoming an integral part of our oral health care team. If you meet the qualifications indicated above, please forward your CV with any additional pertinent information.
