Duties
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorative and pediatric dentistry
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with each patient’s needs
Mentorship and growth opportunities in restorative, pediatric, endodontic, and orthodontic dentistry
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization methods to safeguard patient health
Interpret medical imaging and dental diagnostics to accurately diagnose conditions like dental caries, periodontal disease, or oral pathology
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions in a clear and empathetic manner
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws while managing confidential medical documentation
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize efficiency and patient comfort
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices through ongoing education and training
Experience
Proven experience as a General Dentist in a busy dental office or clinic setting with a strong background in comprehensive patient careare
Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency and understanding in performing diverse procedures including pediatric dentistry, extractions, restorations, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and healthcare diagnosis processes
Demonstrate understanding of Denti-Cal program and requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating excellent client communication skills
Experience working within HIPAA guidelines and understanding of state healthcare regulations governing dental practice
Strong organizational skills for managing medical records accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation of treatments performed
