Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing dental diagnosis techniques and medical imaging to develop effective treatment plans.
Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation and dental records in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with patients to educate them on oral health practices, treatment procedures, and post-treatment care for optimal outcomes.
Use dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to schedule appointments, document procedures, and manage patient information efficiently.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialties such as pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implantology.
Proficiency in medical diagnosis and healthcare assessment techniques specific to dental practice.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to oral health.
Experience with dental fabrication processes and medical imaging technology.
Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and ensure patient comfort throughout treatments.
Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures with precision.
Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient information.
