General Dentist – Saturday Contractor
Location: Multiple Nevada Dental Benefits Locations – Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Saturdays
Position Type: Independent Contractor
Position Summary
Nevada Dental Benefits is seeking General Dentists interested in providing Saturday coverage as independent contractors at our dental centers throughout the Las Vegas area.
This is a flexible opportunity for dentists looking to supplement their existing schedule while working with an established multi-location dental organization. Contractor assignments may be available at multiple locations based on patient demand, operational needs, and provider availability.
Contractors may provide dates of availability in advance and may accept or decline individual assignments offered by the Company.
Responsibilities
The Contractor Dentist will provide general dental services within the scope of their Nevada dental license, including:
Perform comprehensive, periodic, limited, and emergency dental examinations
Diagnose dental and oral conditions
Review and interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic findings
Develop appropriate treatment plans and recommendations
Provide restorative, preventive, and emergency dental treatment
Perform extractions and other general dentistry procedures within the provider's scope, training, and experience
Administer local anesthesia
Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate and legally authorized
Accurately document diagnoses, treatment, and clinical findings
Coordinate referrals and follow-up care when specialty services are needed
Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, providers, and practice leadership
Maintain appropriate infection prevention, patient safety, documentation, and regulatory standards
Schedule and Locations
Contractor opportunities are primarily available on Saturdays.
Assignments may be available at any Nevada Dental Benefits dental center based on operational and staffing needs. The specific location, date, and scheduled hours will be communicated at the time an assignment is offered.
Contractors may submit availability in advance and are free to accept or decline offered assignments.
Patient Service Expectations
Our dental centers place a strong emphasis on the patient and member experience and strive to provide a five-star level of service.
Contractor Dentists are expected to provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care while communicating respectfully with patients and team members and contributing to a collaborative practice environment.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
Current and unrestricted Nevada dental license in good standing
Current BLS/CPR certification
Current DEA registration, as applicable
Professional liability insurance
General dentistry experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Commitment to excellent patient care and service
Ability to work effectively in a team-based dental environment
Ability to successfully complete required credentialing and onboarding requirements
Contractor Onboarding Requirements
Before providing services, contractors must successfully complete all applicable onboarding and facility requirements, which may include:
Background screening
Required health or pre-engagement testing
Credentialing
Mandatory facility training
Required access and compliance documentation
