Looking for a low-stress way to continue practicing dentistry without the physical demands and pace of traditional general dentistry?

We are an established denture and implant practice in Childersburg seeking a general dentist for one day per week in a unique, highly supported clinical role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dentist who enjoys patient interaction and treatment planning but no longer wants to spend the day doing fillings, crowns, endo, extractions, or surgery. It could be particularly attractive to a semi-retired dentist or a dentist looking to scale back clinically without leaving dentistry altogether.

What Makes This Position Different
Our practice focuses on dentures, partials, extractions, and implant-supported dentistry. We utilize a highly digital workflow, including digital dentures, digital partials, intraoral scanning, and digital treatment planning.

You will NOT be expected to:
Perform extractions or implant surgery
Do fillings, crowns, bridges, or endodontics
Maintain a traditional restorative schedule
Spend your day prepping teeth or performing physically demanding procedures
The practice owner handles the surgical portion of treatment.

Your Role
Your primary role is to diagnose, treatment plan, communicate with patients, obtain necessary doctor-level records, and provide clinical oversight of our experienced dental team.

Our trained assistants handle much of the hands-on denture and partial workflow, including:
Digital scanning and impressions
Denture and partial adjustments
Deliveries
Records and case preparation
Routine clinical steps that can appropriately be delegated
Rather than personally performing every step of each case, the dentist provides the necessary evaluation, direction, supervision, and final clinical oversight while working with an experienced team and established workflow.

The dentist will primarily be responsible for:
New-patient examinations
Diagnosis and treatment planning
Discussing denture and implant treatment options with patients
Obtaining bite records and other doctor-level records when needed
Evaluating cases and directing the clinical team
Providing appropriate dentist supervision and final clinical approval
The practice owner is also available virtually throughout the day for treatment-planning questions, implant consultations, or cases where you would like a second opinion.

This position is intentionally designed to be a comfortable, well-supported way to continue practicing dentistry while still providing meaningful patient care.

Compensation is competitive and can be discussed based on experience and availability.

Compensation is negotiable and will depend on experience, scope of practice, and the procedures the dentist is comfortable providing. The position can be structured as a very low-stress oversight role, with additional compensation available for a dentist interested in providing extractions or other clinical procedures.

Pay: $500.00 - $1,000.00 per day
