Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist with Pediatric Dentistry Experience to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in general dentistry, complemented by specialized expertise in pediatric dental care. This role involves providing high-quality dental services to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on treating children and adolescents. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and proficiency in utilizing advanced dental technology and practice management software.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients across all age groups, with an emphasis on pediatric patients.
Deliver a wide range of dental procedures including restorative treatments, extractions, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Utilize digital imaging and other diagnostic tools to assess oral health accurately while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records efficiently using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care in a clear and compassionate manner.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
Collaborate with the dental team to maintain high standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical documentation.
Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
Valid state dental license with certification to practice general dentistry; additional certification or experience in pediatric dentistry is highly preferred.
Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform diverse dental procedures including extractions, root canals, implants, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging technologies.
Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients and their families.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical documentation and patient records management.
Ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
