Job Description
Part-Time Receptionist / Hearing Assistant
Pardon Me Hearing – Vernon, BC
Pardon Me Hearing is a 100% Canadian, family-owned and operated hearing care company. We believe everyone deserves to hear better without paying the high prices often found at traditional hearing clinics. We provide high-quality hearing aids, straightforward pricing, and personal, caring service.
Our team is a big part of what makes Pardon Me Hearing different. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a friendly, outgoing and dependable Part-Time Receptionist / Hearing Assistant to join our Vernon clinic.
This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, especially seniors, and is looking for long-term, part-time employment in a welcoming clinic environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Greet clients and create a warm, friendly and caring experience from the moment they walk through the door
Answer phones, respond to client questions and schedule appointments
Take initiative to keep the appointment schedule full and efficiently booked
Assist with basic hearing aid cleaning, servicing and changing parts — training will be provided
Complete general administrative duties, including computer entries, paperwork, accounts payable/receivable and third-party documentation
Receive payments and manage the daily cash float
Handle shipping, receiving and prepare hearing aid orders for fittings
Keep the clinic clean, organized and welcoming, including regular disinfecting procedures
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Outgoing, personable and comfortable talking with people
Naturally friendly and able to provide exceptional customer service
Patient and compassionate, particularly when working with seniors
Organized and comfortable working on a computer
Self-motivated and able to take initiative without always being asked
Able to follow direction and work well as part of a team
Dependable and interested in a long-term position
Previous experience in a medical, hearing, optical or healthcare office is an asset, but not required for the right person. We are happy to train someone with the right personality, work ethic and attitude.
What We Offer
Part-time hours
A friendly, supportive team environment
On-the-job training
Excellent monthly bonus incentives
Benefits after 3 months
The opportunity to grow with a Canadian, family-owned company
If you’re a true people person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing great service, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and tell us a little about yourself and why you think you’d be a great fit for Pardon Me Hearing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
