Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with medical or dental offices, bookkeeping, and data entry is highly valued. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative skills within a supportive team.

We are hiring for full-time receptionists at the following clinic location and shifts:
Sage Hill 111-60 Sage Hill Plaza NW
Monday - Friday 8:45am-4:00pm
Essence Wellness Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic with four locations
in Calgary. We offer Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, Massage, Dietitian services, Osteopathy and Reiki. We are an established, professional, beautiful, highly organized and well-run clinic.

Wage starts at $18/hr with an increase to $19/hr after the completion of the first three months. Training is provided and paid for. Position is to be filled immediately.

Responsibilities
Greet visitors and clients promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
Handle data entry tasks accurately, including patient or client information in electronic systems such as QuickBooks or other software
Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
Assist with billing, invoicing, and basic bookkeeping functions as needed
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to ensure a welcoming environment
Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with proper phone etiquette
Proofread correspondence and documents for accuracy before distribution
Support administrative tasks related to medical or dental office operations as required
Qualifications
Prior office experience, especially in medical or dental settings, is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
Experience with QuickBooks or bookkeeping is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, and administrative support roles
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Strong typing skills with high accuracy and speed
