Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Immediate Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care and support to our dental practitioners. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing comprehensive dental knowledge and technical skills to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a sterile environment, all while delivering outstanding service in a professional setting.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures such as restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
Take dental X-rays, including intra-oral photos and 3D scans, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and monitoring vital signs when necessary.
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental health.
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques and effective communication among staff members.
Requirements
Proficiency with Dentrix is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
Experience with X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols.
Ability to perform vital signs measurement, assist in various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry procedures.
