Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and compassionate Independent Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Dental Hygiene and Wellness Studio. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall oral health education. The candidate will bring their own clients to this role (with an opportunity to gain more clients as you grow with the studio). This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment, alongside other health and wellness professionals, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of dental hygiene, overall health, wellness and customer service. Pay is based on a percentage-based structure
Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including assessing, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and promote oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Assessing the needs of the client and suggesting/demonstrating products that would benefit their needs.
Maintain accurate patient records using Akitu One dental management software.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments.
Manage own patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and answer patient inquiries with excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license with CDHO, in good standing, as well as current Independent Practice registration through the CDHA.
Valid BLS level CPR
Experience with Akitu One or comparable dental office management software preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Experience preferred, however, new graduates may apply.
Strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and encourage use of modern, science-based products based on client's needs/preferences.
Familiarity with current sterilization protocols and infection control standards.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team of like-minded women, with a collaborative approach to overall patient care.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $70.00 per hour
