Job Description
Overview
Specialty Dental Practice is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Lead Dental Assistant to join our growing specialty practice!
We are looking for a team-oriented dental professional who is confident in both clinical assisting and leadership. The Lead Dental Assistant will play an important role in supporting our doctors, mentoring the clinical team, maintaining efficient patient flow, and ensuring exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Assist doctors during procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
Provide exceptional patient care and help patients feel comfortable throughout treatment
Take and process dental radiographs as needed
Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
Help coordinate daily clinical schedules and maintain efficient patient flow
Train, mentor, and support dental assistants and new team members
Ensure clinical protocols and office procedures are consistently followed
Communicate effectively with doctors, assistants, and front-office staff
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
Serve as a clinical leader and positive resource for the dental assisting team
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of dental assisting experience;
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and sterilization
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
Positive attitude with a willingness to help and support the entire team
Current dental assisting certifications/credentials as required by North Carolina regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
