Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of dental assistants, ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental experience. As a leader, you will coordinate daily workflows, assist with complex procedures, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor dental assistants, fostering teamwork and professional growth
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including orthodontics, pediatrics, general dentistry, implants and sedation
Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials tools for restorative procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Akitu One.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
Support front desk staff by handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments
Oversee the ordering for the office
Skills
Proven experience in dental assisting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
Proficiency in dental practice management software in Akitu one - training will be provided
Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and sedation dentistry procedures - (not mandatory)
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining excellent communication skills
Experience with digital technology- such as intra oral cameras, iTero and CBCT.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities seamlessly
Knowledge of insurance processes and working as a dental receptionist when needed
