POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lead Dental Patient Access Representative supports the front office area by providing exceptional customer service to ACHC patients and visitors and assisting in oversight of day-to-day front desk duties.
SCHEDULE AND PAY
This is a full-time (40 hour) position.
Clinic Open: Monday – Thursday 8AM - 7PM, Friday 8AM – 5PM, Saturday 8AM-Noon. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview.
The pay range for this position is $19-21, dependent on experience.
DUTIES
Assists with oversight of patient interactions at the front desk
Schedule appointments according to written dental protocols
Triage patients according to written dental protocols
Addresses patient concerns when necessary
Establish that each dental patient is advised of the sliding fee scale
Manages and utilizes the patient waitlist effectively and efficiently
Obtain necessary documentation for accurate dental billing and registers appropriate data on dental billing form
Oversees and verifies insurance eligibility, communicates coverage details to patients and ensures accurate claim preparation and submission
Assist dental patients in completing dental history, consent and financial forms if necessary
Perform cashiering and collection duties
Answer dental telephone calls into the clinic and make telephone calls to dental patients from the clinic
Pre-call dental patients to remind them of their appointments and notify patient of payment due at time of appointment
Ensure front office operations adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Maintain accurate dental files for patients and for quality control
Fax dental reports to other dentists’ offices, copy dental records and dental x-ray reports in charts according to written dental protocol & email
Follow up on “no-show” dental patients on a daily basis
Oversees front desk phone communication to ensure messaging is clear, concise, and follows established protocols
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous training and experience in dental reception setting preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
