Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead General Dentist to oversee and deliver comprehensive dental care within our modern dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing patient health and comfort. As the Lead General Dentist, you will play a pivotal role in managing patient treatment plans, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards. Duties
Provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
Lead clinical operations by supervising dental staff, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
Utilize dental software systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping.
Conduct patient assessments using healthcare diagnosis skills and interpret medical imaging to inform treatment decisions.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Mentor team members in best practices for four-handed dentistry and dental fabrication techniques.
Maintain high standards of patient care by applying extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology during treatments.
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as a Lead General Dentist.
Proven experience in general dentistry
Strong familiarity with dental practice management software
Ability to perform complex procedures
Excellent understanding of medical records management and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising dental teams in a clinical setting.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and new dental technologies.
