Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Level 2 Certified Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care by supporting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your friendly demeanor and attention to detail, will help create a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization standards are met
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including patient hand-offs and verifying patient medical history updates
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Sterilization of operatories, instruments and equipment following dental procedures & set-up operatory for the following patient
Qualifications
Valid Level 2 Certified Dental Assistant license or certification from an accredited program
Proven experience with dental assisting duties in a busy practice setting
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental for scheduling and record management
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
