Level 2 Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.

Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling using dental software.

Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.

Support front office duties such as answering phones and greeting patients when needed.

Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in orthodontics is a plus.

Familiarity with dental software such as Abledent is advantageous.

Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.

Willingness to learn new skills related to CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technologies in dentistry.
