Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and familiarity with dental software systems. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with health standards
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology
Manage patient records using Dentrix and Epic electronic health record systems
Provide chairside support by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient information
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Requirements
Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably with pediatric and orthodontic procedures
Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, and CAD systems
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Familiarity with dental reception duties is a plus but not required
Prior experience or training in orthodontics is highly desirable
