Job Description
Lakeside Smiles Dentistry is a new modern dental clinic opening in Downtown Barrie near the waterfront. We are building a calm, organized, patient-centered team and are looking for a professional, reliable, and caring Dental Assistant to join us from the beginning.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clinical organization, patient comfort, infection control, teamwork, and helping the day run smoothly.
At Lakeside Smiles, the assistant plays an important role in creating a calm and comfortable patient experience. We are looking for someone who is gentle with patients, organized with details, and proactive in supporting clinical flow.
Responsibilities
Chairside assisting during general dental procedures
Prepare operatories and treatment trays
Complete room turnover thoroughly and efficiently
Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
Take radiographs if HARP-certified and authorized
Support patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized operatories
Assist with lab cases, impressions/scans, and clinical documentation
Communicate clearly with the dentist and front desk
Help manage supplies and restocking
Support a calm, respectful, and patient-centered team culture
Ideal Candidate

Strong with infection control
Reliable and punctual
Able to anticipate clinical needs
Comfortable working in a new clinic environment
Positive, coachable, and team-oriented
Willing to help build strong systems from the start
Qualifications
Dental Assisting certification preferred
Level II Dental Assistant preferred
HARP certification strongly preferred
New graduates with strong professionalism and a great attitude are welcome to apply
Experience with digital radiographs and dental software is an asset
Strong understanding of sterilization and infection control standards
