Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental and medical history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and intraoral cameras.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis, considering patient preferences and clinical best practices.
Deliver high-quality general dentistry services including restorative procedures, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
Conduct pediatric dentistry treatments with sensitivity to young patients’ needs, ensuring comfort and effective care for children.
Utilize dental terminology accurately when explaining diagnoses and treatment options to patients, ensuring clear understanding.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Document all medical records meticulously within electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Collaborate seamlessly with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by participating in ongoing education and training sessions.
Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health status, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term wellness.
Skills
Proficiency in electronic health record systems including , Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis techniques and treatment planning processes.
Expertise in general dentistry procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with medical imaging technology and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health assessments.
Ability to perform dental fabrication tasks accurately when needed for restorations or prostheses.
Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Deep understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and state healthcare regulations governing medical documentation.
Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; ability to adapt care accordingly.
Skilled in utilizing anesthesia techniques safely for pain management during procedures requiring anesthesiology expertise.
