Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, and prosthodontics.
Conduct pediatric dentistry procedures with patience and care tailored to young patients’ needs.
Utilize dental terminology accurately while explaining treatment plans and procedures to patients in an understandable manner.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Document all medical records meticulously within electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery.
Stay current with advancements in dental techniques, materials, and technology to continually enhance patient outcomes.
Skills
Proficiency in electronic dental records systems including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Experience with dental imaging techniques and medical documentation standards.
Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics, and other general dentistry procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially within pediatric dentistry settings.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments.
Familiarity with medical records management and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prior experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is highly preferred.
