Job Description
Overview
Our office has been voted the Best Dental office in Hernando County for the past 2 years. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will possess a comprehensive understanding of various dental procedures. The Associate Dentist will work collaboratively with our staff to ensure a positive experience for all patients while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, procedures, and post-operative care.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices through continuous education.
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid Florida dental license.
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Softdent and Deixs are preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques.
Experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with the unique needs of young patients is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong independent decision-making skills.
