Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, energetic , and detail oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work side-by-side with our talented doctor to deliver top-tier clinical care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dental assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to utilize advanced dental technology, including digital impression systems and in -office milling for same-day crowns, as well as assisting in high-end aesthetic dentistry cases.

Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are ready for patient care.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including intraoral and panoramic images, adhering to safety protocols and radiation standards.

Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.

Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.

Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures to maintain infection prevention standards.

Monitor vital signs and medical documentation when necessary, especially for pediatric or medically compromised patients.

Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care, fostering positive patient experiences.

Support front desk operations by managing patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and handling basic dental receptionist duties.

Maintain clinical cleanliness and infection control practices in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.

Requirements
Valid license as a Dental Assistant with current certification in dental assisting practices.

Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and clinical confidentiality policies.

Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; certification in dental x-ray is required.

Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health and collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups.

Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control protocols specific to dental settings; experience with medical coding and documentation is advantageous.
