Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for patient appointments
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with chairside support, including four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging technology such as dental x-ray machines and 3D scanners while following infection prevention protocols
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care
Process and sterilize dental instruments according to infection control standards and aseptic techniques
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental equipment operation
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
Experience with medical documentation and managing medical records securely in compliance with HIPAA policies
Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic technique
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively
Skilled in using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
Excellent communication skills while providing compassionate patient care
Knowledge of Eaglesoft is a plus.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
