Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control management and techniques.

Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.

Manage electronic dental records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental for accurate documentation of patient histories, documentation, and dental coding.

Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient health status before procedures to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare infection control standards.

Process dental instruments for sterilization following dental sterilization procedures and infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of safety.

Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.

Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for seamless chairside assisting during treatments.

Educate patients on oral health care practices tailored to patients when necessary, fostering a positive experience that encourages ongoing care.

Experience
Proven experience as a Licensed Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.

Hands-on knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.

Proficiency with systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental.

Strong understanding of infection control management, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control expertise.

Experience assisting with complex procedures including endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is preferred.

Ability to operate dental X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently while maintaining patient safety standards.

Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate patient appointments effectively while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Knowledge of dental assisting best practices such as four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting techniques to optimize treatment efficiency.
