We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Licensed Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care.
Take high-quality dental x-rays and other medical imaging to assist with diagnosis while adhering to infection prevention management protocols.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral health care instructions, post-treatment care, and preventive practices while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with medical documentation related to patient health history.
Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and answering patient inquiries professionally.
Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners and dental sterilization devices to ensure optimal functionality.
Uphold infection control standards by adhering to healthcare infection prevention protocols across all clinical activities.
Perform coronal polishing, sealants and Curodont applications.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques and proficiency in using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred; experience working with children is a plus.
Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, medical coding software, and patient management software like Epic or Dentrix efficiently.i
Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Certification as a Licensed Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required; additional certifications in radiography or infection control are advantageous.
