About the Position
La Prada Family Dentistry is looking for a qualified, Spanish-speaking Registered Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and help deliver an exceptional patient experience. We are a busy general dentistry practice that values teamwork, dependable employees, and quality care at every visit.
The right candidate will be comfortable assisting chairside, communicating with patients in both English and Spanish, and helping the clinical team stay organized throughout a full schedule. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, adapts well to changing priorities, and enjoys working in a collaborative dental environment.
What You'll Do
Work alongside the dentist during examinations, restorative treatments, and other general dentistry procedures.
Set up treatment rooms and ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready for each patient.
Capture digital dental radiographs and maintain accurate clinical records.
Follow established sterilization, infection prevention, and workplace safety procedures.
Help keep appointments running smoothly by anticipating clinical needs and preparing for upcoming procedures.
Explain treatment steps and provide patients with clear, supportive instructions as directed by the dentist.
Assist with restorative procedures, Invisalign cases, and other treatments within the scope of your training and credentials.
Coordinate with front office staff to support a smooth transition between check-in, treatment, and checkout.
Maintain clean, organized operatories and monitor clinical supplies.
Contribute to a welcoming environment where patients feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Texas.
Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Previous dental assisting experience, with 2–3 years preferred.
Availability to work Monday through Saturday as scheduled.
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy practice.
A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the needs of the clinical team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software.
Familiarity with digital X-ray systems and electronic clinical charting.
Experience assisting with restorative dentistry and Invisalign procedures.
