Locum Dentist Opportunity
September 7, 2026 – January 31, 2027
Bear Creek Dental in Grande Prairie, Alberta, is seeking a Locum Dentist to provide coverage from September 7, 2026, through January 31, 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy, well-established practice with a loyal patient base, an existing full schedule, modern technology, and a highly supportive clinical team.
What we offer:
Busy, established patient base with an existing schedule
Monthly production of approximately $100,000–$160,000
Modern, fully equipped operatories and digital technology
Experienced, friendly support team committed to providing exceptional patient care

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues
Provide restorative, preventive, and cosmetic dental treatments
Document patient records accurately using Curve Dental or similar electronic health record systems
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
Collaborate with dental assistants and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
Follow all safety protocols and maintain sterilization standards in the dental office
Stay updated on the latest dental techniques and industry best practices
Experience & Qualifications
Valid license to practice dentistry in Alberta and in good standing with the Alberta Dental Association.
Previous experience in a general dental practice is preferred.
Proficiency in all aspects of general dentistry with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Experience using Curve Dental or other electronic dental record (EDR) systems is considered an asset.
Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and team members.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a patient-centered approach to care.
