Job Description
Job Overview
We are a single doctor practice looking for an associate dentist to cover our doctor while on maternity leave: February 1st to April 29th, 2027 (closed for President’s Day). We are open Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Our office has an established patient base with consistent new patient flow. We focus on restorative dentistry and refer out most specialty procedures. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience, a caring disposition, and a WA dental license. Compensation is $800 per day.
Duties
Perform comprehensive general dentistry procedures including examinations and restorations with precision and care
Conduct patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop effective treatment plans in accordance with current medical and dental standards
Utilize Open Dental software for accurate medical documentation and record keeping
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and patient comfort
Use medical imaging tools for diagnosis and treatment planning while demonstrating strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
Communicate clearly with patients about their treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions to ensure understanding and satisfaction
Requirements
Valid state dental license with current licensure for practicing dentistry in WA State
Current malpractice coverage and BLS certification
At least one year of experience in general dentistry
Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Knowledge of healthcare diagnosis processes, medical documentation standards, and medical imaging techniques
Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing medical records and patient privacy
Experience working in a busy dental office environment or clinic setting preferred
