Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Locum/Temporary Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Locum Dentist, you will deliver comprehensive dental services, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Duties
Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including examinations, fillings, extractions, crown/bridge, Dentures/partials, and root canal therapy
Assess patient needs through thorough medical and dental histories and conduct detailed oral examinations
Deliver pediatric dentistry services with sensitivity and expertise, ensuring a positive experience for young patients
Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret results accurately to inform treatment plans
Maintain precise medical documentation and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient care efficiency
Conduct oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and manage post-operative care effectively
Use dental terminology clearly when explaining procedures to patients to enhance understanding and comfort
Ensure all treatments adhere to current standards of infection control, medical documentation practices, and legal requirements
Requirements
Valid state or regional license to practice dentistry as a licensed dentist or within the scope of temporary licensure requirements
Proven experience with dental office management software such as Dentrix, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental practice
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate effectively
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice environments
Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with the dental team in a fast-paced setting
Prior experience working in dental clinics or offices is highly preferred
