Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Term Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management procedures.

Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.

Take and develop dental X-ray images while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and maintaining patient comfort.

Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.

Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions requiring additional care.

Educate patients on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote long-term dental wellness.

Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly.

Support patient management software systems to schedule appointments, update medical records, and facilitate effective patient flow.

Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards.

Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation including 3D scanners when applicable.

Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques such as X-ray imaging.

Proficiency in using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records efficiently.

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued.

Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient care delivery.

Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practice and healthcare infection prevention policies.

Demonstrated ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information responsibly.
