Creekside Oral Surgery is a State of the Art Oral Surgery practice located in Johns Creek, GA.
We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and professional surgical assistant to join our team. We understand the importance of working as a team and allowing employees to thrive and blossom to their full potential.
This position is for 4 days a week Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8a-4p and select Tuesdays and/or Thursdays (7a-3p).
Our office culture is friendly and team-based with a focus on providing excellent customer service and high-quality surgical outcomes for all our patients and their families.

Ideal candidate must be cheerful, professional and maintain a compassionate demeanor at all times with patient care being the center of focus at all times.
Duties include:
Taking radiographs and CT imaging
Chairside assisting during surgical procedures
Monitoring of sedated patients during and after surgery
Providing suitable post-operative instructions
Keeping patients calm during procedures
Greeting and Seating patients
Calling post-op patients
Maintaining sterile operatories and equipment
Maintaining a clean sanitary work environment
Ordering supplies and maintaining an adequate list of supplies
Coordinating dental implant cases and post-operative details with referring offices
Scheduling Appointments
Presenting Treatment
Reviewing patient health history/registration
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification
Minimum of 1 year of oral surgery assistant experience
Hands-on experience in assisting with oral surgical procedures.
CPR and First Aid Certification
Radiology Certification
Infection Control Certification: Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures.
OSHA Compliance Training: Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
Experience in patient preparation, education, and post-operative care
Proficiency in sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments.
Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic health records (EHR).
Skilled in taking Xrays
Ability to assist the oral surgeon during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and retracting tissues.
Knowledge of assisting with local and general anesthesia administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and the dental team.
Ability to comfort and reassure anxious or nervous patients
Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with the surgical team
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a busy clinical setting
High level of accuracy in maintaining patient records, preparing instruments, and following surgical protocols.
Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality of care
Ability to stand for long periods and assist with surgeries that may be physically demanding.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergencies
Skilled hand-eye coordination for precise instrument handling
Adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with advancements in oral surgery.
Maintaining a clean, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
These qualifications ensure that an oral surgery assistant is well-prepared to provide high-quality care and support in a surgical dental practice. Candidates may be required to attend a working interview.
