Medical Receptionist – Ampla Health
Join Ampla Health as a Medical Receptionist, where you'll be the first point of contact for patients—ensuring a positive experience both in person and over the phone. You'll manage front desk operations, verify coverage, and support administrative tasks that keep our clinic running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, manage incoming calls, and schedule appointments
Complete patient registration and update Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Verify insurance coverage, co-pays, and patient eligibility
Collect and post payments; reconcile daily cash transactions
Maintain daily schedules and front desk inventory
Support daily clinic operations and administrative needs
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certification required
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word; able to type 40+ WPM
Experience with payment collection and insurance verification
Bilingual (Spanish, Punjabi, or Hmong) preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced clinic environment
Able to lift 40 lbs and push 100 lbs on wheels
Frequent standing, bending, and reaching
Exposure to infectious diseases possible
