Coverage Term: January 2027 - March 2027
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maternity Leave Coverage Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. This full-time paid position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality dental care during a temporary coverage period. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive general dentistry services, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics
Perform pediatric dentistry procedures with sensitivity and expertise, including dental assessments and treatment planning for young patients
Conduct oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and implant placements while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping
Assess patient health history, diagnose dental conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
Communicate clearly with patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to ensure understanding and comfort
Maintain a sterile environment through proper infection control practices and adhere to all OSHA standards for safety and hygiene
POTENTIAL FOR ASSOCIATESHIP AFTER COVERAGE
Qualifications
Valid state dental license with current DEA registration if applicable
Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics
Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis processes
Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, and other advanced procedures
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
Commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient flow
