Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified professional with a medical background to join our team in a dual-focus role centered on clinical workflow efficiency and culturally competent patient care. As our practice grows, this position will play a critical role in safely managing incoming laboratory data and bridging communication gaps for our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service.
Manage multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and answering patient inquiries efficiently.
Maintain and update electronic medical records using platforms such as Epic and Dentrix with accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying patient information, insurance details, and billing data.
Prepare and organize documentation for patient visits, including medical histories and consent forms.
Coordinate with medical or dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations and patient flow.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and managing office supplies.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic is required; experience with Dentrix is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
Demonstrated experience managing front desk operations in a busy medical or dental office environment.
Office experience involving multi-line phone systems, appointment scheduling, and administrative support.
Previous roles involving administrative responsibilities in healthcare settings will be considered an asset. This position is vital to the efficient functioning of our healthcare practice, supporting both staff and patients through effective administrative management.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
