Job Description
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to travel to multiple office locations as needed.
Open and close the office according to established procedures.
Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and after patient appointments, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, pulse oximetry, weight, and height.
Maintain and update patient records accurately in the electronic health system.
Administer allergy injections according to protocol, documenting doses on shot sheets.
Operate the spirometry machine, performing pulmonary function tests.
Perform sinus echo diagnostic tests.
Administer nebulizer treatments.
Perform allergy skin testing (percutaneous, intradermal, and patch test procedures).
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and tests.
Maintain and apply principles of aseptic technique and universal precautions when performing clinical duties and tasks.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding prescribed treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
Educate patients on preventive care, health management, and wellness topics.
Ensure a positive, empathetic, and efficient patient experience.
Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of patient information in accordance with healthcare privacy regulations.
Maintain and update patient vital statistics and health records as necessary.
Stand for extended periods and assist in moving medical equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
CPR and/or BLS certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting or equivalent role.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare privacy regulations.
Familiarity with computerized systems used for patient records and departmental needs.
