Job Description
Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join their Primary Care team!
Medical Assistants perform delegated routine clinical duties within the supervising practitioner’s scope of practice; assist healthcare provider in the delivery of patient care in the clinic setting; to interact with patients, both in person and by phone; to provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and co-workers; and to perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience working as a Medical Assistant in primary care setting, CCMA preferred.
Experience working in EPIC medical record preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
Scheduling and receiving patients.
Preparing and maintaining medical records.
Handling telephone calls and writing correspondence.
Serving as a liaison between the Provider and patients.
Asepsis and infection control.
Taking patient histories and vital signs.
Performing first aid and CPR.
Preparing patients for procedures
Assisting the provider with examinations and treatments
Collecting and processing specimens.
Performing selected diagnostic tests.
Preparing and administering medications as directed by the provider.
Maintenance of equipment and supplies for the clinic.
Promote a Culture of Safety; reporting hazards, errors and potential patient safety issues
Other duties as assigned.
