Overview
Concord Health, an out-patient psychiatric practice in Clearwater, Florida, is seeking a full-time Medical Billing/Receptionist to join our compassionate healthcare team. Our practice offers customized, affordable care, integrating traditional psychiatry including innovative treatments like TMS, Spravato and ketamine therapy. The Billing/Receptionist supports psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to patients. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage various administrative and some billing tasks within a medical office environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, scheduling, and administrative knowledge, ensuring a smooth flow of operations in our clinic. Duties
Perform administrative tasks such as patient letters, referral correspondence, ROIs, patient rescheduling, etc.
Manage the clinic's scheduling calendar efficiently keeping provider schedules full.
Oversee and manage internal and external messages making sure all communications are handled in a timely manner.
Monitor patient paperwork helping patients get it done to minimize patient rescheduling and treatment delays.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with patient disability & patient assistance paperwork & procedures.
Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient experience.
Verify insurance eligibility and co-pays
Patient checkin/check out, update patient charts
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Previous medical administration experience or similar role within a mental health medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of mental health medical terminology and processes.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette.
Any billing experience is also a plus
