Responsibilities
Manage patient intake, appointment scheduling, and front desk needs
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle medical billing
Review and update medical records and documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform insurance verification, authorization requests, and coordinate with insurance providers for claims processing.
Provide excellent patient service by answering multi-line phone systems professionally, managing appointment reminders, and addressing patient inquiries.
Maintain organized filing of medical records and office documents while supporting clinic operations through clerical tasks such as data entry and file management.
Skills
Knowledge of medical/dental terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and health information management standards.
Strong experience in medical billing, insurance verification, Medicare processing, and documentation review.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with multi-line phone systems and 10-key typing.
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and clinic workflows is a plus.
Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and organizational abilities to support front desk operations.
Willingness to cross train and assist the clinical team when needed.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
