Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Pediatrics

Overview:
Tamalpais Pediatrics is a welcoming, progressive high quality medical practice specializing in the care of children from birth through adolescence, with offices in Larkspur and Novato. We are seeking a front office receptionist who can work in-person at both of our offices. This is not a remote position.

Description:
The ideal candidate for the Front Desk / Call Center position will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Job Duties
Patient and Office Management:
Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the Front Office / Reception area
Greet patients upon arrival and manage the check-in process
Collect patient payments, including copays and outstanding balances
Schedule follow-up and future patient appointments
Answer and manage incoming phone calls and emails
Organize and file documents to ensure patient records are current and accurate
Communication and Flow:
Facilitate smooth patient flow by communicating effectively with healthcare providers and the Back Office patient care team.

Other Duties:
Complete other tasks or projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications & Expectations
High School Diploma or GED
Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Ability to work in both our Larkspur and Novato office locations
Full vaccination against COVID-19 and willingness to receive annual flu vaccines
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Clear and professional communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.

Excellent customer service abilities
A professional appearance and demeanor
Reliability, detail-orientation, and computer literacy
The capacity to be a collaborative team player and efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in an office setting is a plus
Highly Desired:
Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish

Salary range:
In accordance with California law, the expected hourly range for this California position is between $24 and $27 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
