Job Description

Medical Front Desk Receptionist — Phone Operator
Location: Primarily Midtown (36th & Harvard)
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $15–$16/hour — depending on experience
Schedule
Monday–Thursday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with occasional Friday shifts until 5:00 pm
When patient care or coverage needs arise, hours may extend past 5:00 pm at any location for any employee.

Locations & Travel
We operate across five metro-area offices: Owasso, Midtown, South Tulsa, Sapulpa, and Broken Arrow. Each location functions as part of one connected care team. While this position is primarily based at our Midtown office on Harvard, travel between offices is required for coverage, training, and teamwork.

Travel is communicated in advance whenever possible, though same-day needs may occasionally occur. Mileage between offices is reasonable, and travel time is included as part of your scheduled shift and will be reflected on your timeclock accordingly.

About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable team member to join our front office team at MTFAS. Our front office plays a vital role in creating a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient — both in person and over the phone.

This position is cross-trained to perform both front desk and phone operator responsibilities. You’ll rotate between these roles, meaning some days you’ll be greeting patients face-to-face, and other days you’ll focus on calls, scheduling, and coordination.

No podiatry experience is required — we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to ensure you’re confident, supported, and fully equipped to succeed in both areas.

What You’ll Do
Create a warm and professional first impression, ensuring patient check-in and check-out processes run smoothly.

Manage multi-line phones with professionalism and care, scheduling patients accurately and communicating clearly.

Handle copayments, over-the-counter sales, and charge entries with accuracy and integrity.

Maintain current and accurate patient demographics and insurance information within our EMR system.

Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate referrals to support patient care.

Manage faxes, referrals, and other communication with attention to detail and follow-through.

Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting coworkers, staying organized, and maintaining a clean, welcoming workspace.

Represent the practice with patience, empathy, and professionalism — in person, on the phone, and through all communication channels.

Who Thrives Here
We’re a team that values consistency, communication, and compassion. You’ll do well here if you:
Stay composed and patient when things get busy and multitasking
Take accountability and are open to feedback
Enjoy working closely with others and supporting the team’s success
See challenges as opportunities to learn and grow
Benefits
Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance — after 60 days
Supplemental Insurance Options — after 90 days
Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues immediately — can be used after 90 days
Holiday Pay — after 90 days
401(k) with up to 4% match — after one year
$100 annual scrub allowance — after completion of first 90 days then annually thereafter on work anniversary date
Employee Year-Round Discounts: 50% at Big River Footwear and 20% at Raley’s Scrubs
Biweekly pay schedule — every other Friday
Requirements
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices as needed
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Attention to detail, punctuality, and a professional attitude
Experience with multi-line phones or EMR systems preferred, but not required — we will train the right candidate!

Our Culture
We take pride in a professional, team-driven environment where accountability and kindness go hand in hand. We offer clear expectations, open communication, and ongoing opportunities to learn, grow, and make a real difference in the patient experience.
