Our mission is to provide access to affordable, quality medical, dental, and other health care services to all residents of Southern California communities, especially the vulnerable population.
Position: Front Office Assistant/Receptionist - Hiring for Women's Health Clinic (Family Medicine, OBGyn, and Pediatrics)
Summary: Full-time front office assistant to assist in verifying insurance eligibility, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and more. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. At least 2 years of medical front office experience required.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner, both in person and over the phone
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits
Conduct appointment reminder calls and follow-ups to reduce no-shows
Register and check in patients accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare and organize required documentation for patient visits
Communicate patient arrival status, delays, or issues to providers and clinical staff
Manage late arrivals and rescheduling in accordance with office policies
Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of medical front office or receptionist experience (required)
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical office workflows
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems (EHR experience preferred; EPIC experience a plus)
Excellent communication, customer service, and telephone skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through with minimal supervision
Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance
Ability to remain calm, use sound judgment, and problem-solve in high-pressure situations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
