Candidates with experience in dental or medical office settings, proficiency with electronic medical records, and strong communication skills will thrive in this position.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient flow
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
Verify insurance information and process billing as needed
Prepare and organize documentation for patient visits and procedures
Support the clinical staff with administrative tasks as required
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Handle administrative correspondence and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
Requirements
Prior experience as a dental receptionist or medical office assistant preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Avaros, Oscar, Ocean, PS Suites
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
Office experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with front desk operations and administrative support tasks
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
